Last week my aunt noticed a lump in her left breast and went to see a doctor for further assessment of the lump. The doctor immediately performed biopsy to remove the lump. Later that week she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer and was taken to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (Peshawar, Pakistan) which treats cancer patients for free. Hoping that they would offer her free treatments. The hospital refused to take her in as they have a very specific criteria for whom they offer treatment to. Now they have to pay for her treatment out of pocket which will roughly cost around $20,000 CAD. Those of you who know her know that she is a lovely person with the biggest heart, she is always putting others before herself. I’m starting this fundraiser to help provide financial relief for my aunts family. The funds raised will be sent to my aunts family in Pakistan and used to pay for her chemotherapy treatments and other tests.
