Mulumia Patrick is the Founder and Director of a small community ministry.

Recently, a dear friend of mine, Mulumia Patrick, from Uganda, Africa, lost his home due to heavy rains. Patrick is the Founder and Director of Friends of South Ministries (fedsuganda.org), a ministry whose mission is to Rescue, Nurture, And Disciple the poor women and children in his community.

He grew up as a child of a poor woman, and after being educated through Compassion International, he returned to his community to help lift them up through his ministry.

What happened, and how you can help!

I am raising money to help replace Patrick's lost home for his growing family. Unfortunately, his previous home was destroyed by heavy rains when he went on an outreach mission for one month. When he returned, he found his home destroyed and no longer habitable. He was forced to rent a simple room in a house to stay with his family.

Where will the donations be used?

Patrick already has land for the home. Your donation will help buy bricks for the new building. He needs 15,000 bricks to build a modest three-room home for the family and his ministry. The donations will also be used to purchase roofing materials such as iron sheets, timber, nails, and tins of paint.

100% of the donations will go directly to Mulumia Patrick for his building materials. I will send the donations directly to him through worldremit.com.

Patrick's Family:

Patrick's family of five (5) includes his wife, zainab Nalumasi, and three children: Moses, 6 years old; Joshua, 3 years old; and Angel, 2 years old. Now, they must all live together and are quickly outgrowing the small room they have been forced to move into.

Their living conditions are quite challenging. In addition to being cramped, they also use candles for light during the night. To keep warm, Patrick's wife lights the charcoal stove they use for cooking to warm the room. She stays in the room at all times to monitor the stove.

I have worked with Patrick and his ministry for over seven years. I am the webmaster for Feds Uganda Ministries and the organization's Facebook page moderator. I know through experience that he is an honorable and dedicated man. His ministry works very hard to rescue and teach women how to become self-sufficient so they can, in turn, take care of their children.

The ministry also provides emergency supplies to those most destitute and desperate in his community.

What this home will mean to Patrick, his family, and his community:

This home will allow him to provide safe shelter for his growing family and continue his ministry's mission: Rescuing, Nurturing and Discipling the women and children in his poor community in Uganda, Africa bringing hope to those in his community!
