Hello everyone. My name is Tee, and I am raising funds for my nephew, Multy Snider, affectionately known as Dee, and his lifelong best friend, Joshua Ham.
Multy and Josh are both 20 years old and former high school athletes. Multy attended **Fort Dorchester High School**, and Josh attended **Timberland High School**. They have been best friends since Pre-K and practically grew up together.
On Labor Day, what should have been an ordinary evening of lifelong friends enjoying a game of basketball turned into a nightmare. While playing basketball at the Regional Recreation Complex in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Multy and Joshua were both tragically shot. In a matter of seconds, both of their lives—and the lives of their families—were forever changed.
During the shooting, Multy was shot once in his right knee. Unfortunately, the bullet did not exit his leg. During emergency surgery, his doctor determined that attempting to remove the bullet was not medically advisable, so the decision was made to leave it in place. Multy will now require continued medical follow-up as he heals and recovers from his injury.
Joshua was shot twice—once in the ankle and once in his other leg. Both young men suffered significant injuries that will require time, medical care, physical therapy, and continued support as they work toward regaining their strength and mobility.
The shooting was reported by Live 5 News, and the Moncks Corner Police Department investigated the incident. Three days after the shooting, the suspect was captured with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals. We are extremely grateful that the suspect has been apprehended, but Multy and Joshua still have a long road of healing and recovery ahead of them.
Multy is a college student and delivery driver, and Joshua works in construction. Because of their injuries, both young men will be unable to work while they recover. Just two days before the shooting, Multy had purchased his first car, making this unexpected loss of income even more difficult.
We are raising $50,000 to support both young men, with the intention of providing $25,000 in support for Multy Snider (Dee) and $25,000 for Joshua Ham.
Donations will help cover hospital and medical expenses, ongoing recovery costs, lost income while they are unable to work, transportation to future doctor appointments and physical therapy, everyday necessities, and other expenses that may arise throughout their recovery.
What should have been two lifelong best friends simply enjoying a game of basketball turned into a tragedy that changed both of their lives in a matter of seconds. These young men should be able to focus on healing, regaining their mobility, returning to their normal lives, and moving forward from this traumatic experience without carrying the financial burden alone.
We are asking for your prayers, support, and donations to help Multy and Joshua through their recovery and get them back on their feet.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing their story. ❤️
Please keep Multy, Joshua, and both of their families in your prayers.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every donation, prayer, share, and word of encouragement. Your kindness and support during this difficult time mean more to our families than words can express.
