Imagine sitting in your home on a Sunday afternoon, and suddenly, without warning, losing your residence and your means of transportation.

That happened to a member of the AvL Family on Sunday, October 31, 2021, when a young teenager quite literally crashed into Melissa's home. Travelling in excess of 100 mph, he lost control of the car which he wasn't legally allowed to drive and crashed into both vehicles that were parked in front of Melissa's home. The force of the collision drove the vehicles into her son's bedroom wall, where he was at the time.

The good news is that everyone, driver included, is safe and unhurt. The same can not be said, unfortunately, for Melissa's cars or home. All of the vehicles have been ruled as a total loss, and the house suffered so much damage that it has been condemned as well. The motorist that caused the crash was driving an uninsured car that was taken without permission so at this point the family has no idea when or if they could receive any kind of insurance compensation.

This was a devasting event to occur on a young boy's Halloween. Please, any help that you could provide to this wonderful family at this time would be infinitely appreciated by Melissa and her loved ones.
