Hi my name is Claudia, I'm Italian and I'm trying to help Muhannad and his family to survive the genocide that is happening in Gaza.

Muhannad has become an engineer in 2023, right before the start of the conflict, only to loose everything just some months after his graduation.

Here is a little about Muhannad in his own words.

"Hello friends, I am Muhannad from northern Gaza, I am 25 years old, I have been displaced in the south since the beginning of the war, our house was bombed and leveled to the ground, we became homeless and I lost my job and everything I owned, a number of my family members were also martyred, we lost everything because of the war, I live with my elderly parents who have chronic diseases and health problems that require continuous treatment, and we live in difficult conditions because of the famine, I was shot in the chest while trying to get food for my family, I miraculously escaped death, The purpose of the donation campaign is to obtain the basic necessities for life such as food, flour, medicine, cleaning materials, clothes, buying a tent, etc.

We need your help no matter how simple it is it will alleviate the suffering we are living here, we must get the basics to make life easier."

As most of us know, the conditions in Gaza are unbearable, and Muhannad wants nothing more than to live in peace and safety. I have set up this fundraiser to try to help Muhannad and his family to afford the basics needed to survive in war-torn Gaza.

I was just blessed enough to have never really known what living under bombs flying over your head everyday feels like. But again is just a matter of luck to be born in the peaceful side of the word. Imagine what it would be like to loose ALL of your comforts, to wake up everyday and having to worry about looking for food, water, medicines and especially to survive from the Israeli army.

We all see everyday the awful images arriving from Gaza and my heart is shattered and for the first time in my life I really almost completely lost faith in humanity. But then I remind myself that there are a lot of people that have Palestinians lives at heart. Therefore I feel that I must do whatever I can to help and ask, please, if you could do the same and help me raise what we can.

You may not know me and I realize that I’m asking for a big leap of faith in asking you to trust me. So please I’m asking if perhaps you could donate something, however small, in the hope that lots of small donations build up to help Muhannad and his family.

I am collecting money on behalf of him because Palestinians cannot open a fundraising page themselves, so I will be in charge of sending all the money collected to a trustworthy person that I know in Gaza, who's his neighbor, that will then transfer the money to him.

As a thank you for helping me and Muhannad and his family, I will try to update you with regular posts about how well the fundraising is going and, more importantly, how Muhannad and his family are doing.

Ciao, mi chiamo Claudia, sono italiana e cerco di aiutare Muhannad e la sua famiglia a sopravvivere al genocidio in corso a Gaza.

Muhannad è diventato ingegnere nel 2023, poco prima dell'inizio del conflitto, solo per perdere tutto pochi mesi dopo la laurea.

Ecco qualcosa su Muhannad raccontato da lui stesso.

"Ciao amici, mi chiamo Muhannad e vengo dal nord di Gaza, ho 25 anni e sono sfollato nel sud dall'inizio della guerra. La nostra casa è stata bombardata e rasa al suolo, siamo rimasti senza casa e ho perso il lavoro e tutto ciò che possedevo. Anche diversi membri della mia famiglia sono stati martirizzati. Abbiamo perso tutto a causa della guerra. Vivo con i miei genitori anziani che soffrono di malattie croniche e problemi di salute che richiedono cure continue. Viviamo in condizioni difficili a causa della carestia. Sono stato colpito al petto mentre cercavo di procurarmi del cibo per la mia famiglia. Sono miracolosamente scampato alla morte. Lo scopo della campagna di donazioni è quello di ottenere beni di prima necessità per vivere, come cibo, farina, medicine, prodotti per la pulizia, vestiti, l'acquisto di una tenda, ecc.

Abbiamo bisogno del vostro aiuto, non importa quanto semplice sia, allevierà la sofferenza che stiamo vivendo qui. Dobbiamo procurarci i beni di prima necessità per rendere la vita più facile."

Come molti di noi sanno, le condizioni a Gaza sono insopportabili e Muhannad non desidera altro che vivere in pace e sicurezza. Ho creato questa raccolta fondi per cercare di aiutare Muhannad e la sua famiglia a permettersi il necessario per sopravvivere nella Gaza devastata dalla guerra.

Sono stata fortunata a non aver mai veramente provato cosa significhi vivere sotto le bombe che ti volano sopra la testa ogni giorno. Ma, ripeto, è solo una questione di fortuna essere nati nella parte di mondo più pacifico. Immagina cosa significherebbe perdere TUTTI i tuoi comfort, svegliarti ogni giorno e doverti preoccupare di cercare cibo, acqua, medicine e soprattutto sopravvivere all'esercito israeliano.

Vediamo tutti ogni giorno le orribili immagini che arrivano da Gaza e il mio cuore è a pezzi e per la prima volta nella mia vita ho perso quasi completamente la fiducia nell'umanità. Ma poi mi ricordo che ci sono molte persone che hanno a cuore la vita dei palestinesi. Quindi sento di dover fare tutto il possibile per aiutare e chiedo, per favore, se potete fare lo stesso e aiutarmi a raccogliere il denaro che possiamo.

Potreste non conoscermi e mi rendo conto che vi sto chiedendo un grande atto di fede chiedendovi di fidarvi di me. Quindi, per favore, vi chiedo se potreste donare qualcosa, anche se piccolo, nella speranza che tante piccole donazioni si accumulino per aiutare Muhannad e la sua splendida famiglia.

Sto raccogliendo fondi per conto suo perché i palestinesi non possono aprire una pagina di raccolta fondi autonomamente, quindi sarò io a inviare tutto il denaro raccolto a una persona di fiducia che conosco a Gaza, che è sua vicina, che poi glielo trasferirà.

Come ringraziamento per aver aiutato me, Muhannad e la sua famiglia, cercherò di aggiornarvi con post regolari sull'andamento della raccolta fondi e, cosa ancora più importante, su come stanno Muhannad e la sua famiglia.
