Hello everyone,

My name is Nomaan Ahmed, and I am the organizer of Muhannad’s campaign.

If you have followed Muhannad’s story from the beginning, you know that this campaign started with one urgent goal: helping Muhannad and his children find a safe and stable home.

Thanks to the kindness of people who believed in his family, that goal was reached. Muhannad was able to secure a small home, repair it, and settle his family there.

But I believe this is not where his story should end.

It should be the beginning of a new chapter.

Muhannad has always wanted the same thing: the ability to work and provide for his children himself.

Now that the most urgent needs surrounding the home have been addressed, he has an opportunity to take another important step.

There is a small space beside his home facing a busy street. Muhannad wants to turn that space into a small Palestinian food restaurant, serving falafel, fava beans, hummus, and other simple foods.

This is why the focus of the campaign has now changed.

We are no longer only trying to help Muhannad’s family survive another difficult day.

We are trying to help Muhannad build a way to support his family tomorrow.

The goal is to help him prepare the space, purchase the equipment he needs, and install a solar power and battery system so he can operate the restaurant despite the severe lack of electricity in Gaza.

I have seen how much Muhannad wants to work and how strongly he wants to provide for Yusuf, Jouri, and Julia.

He does not want to ask people for help forever.

He wants a chance to stand on his own feet.

A Message from Muhannad

I Don’t Want to Ask for Help Forever — I Want to Work

For a long time, I have been asking people to help my family survive.

Today, I want to tell you about a different dream.

I want to work.

I want to earn my family’s living with my own hands.

I want to wake up knowing that the food on my children’s table comes from my own work, not from asking others for help.

After everything my family has been through, this may sound like a simple dream.

But to me, it means everything.

From Rebuilding Our Home to Rebuilding Our Lives

With your support, we were able to buy a small home for our family.

You stood beside us when we needed you most.

We then faced another difficult chapter: repairing the house and paying the debts that remained.

Step by step, with your help and with everything we could do ourselves, we reached something I once thought was impossible:

Our home is repaired. Our debts are paid.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped us reach this point.

Your support did not simply help us buy a house.

It gave my children a place to call home.

And now, for the first time in a long time, I am looking beyond simply surviving.

I am thinking about how I can build a future for my children.

There Is a Small Space in Our Yard — and I See a Future There

Part of our courtyard faces a busy street where many people pass every day.

When I look at this empty space, I don't just see a piece of land.

I see an opportunity.

I see a small Palestinian restaurant serving falafel, fava beans, hummus, and other simple foods.

A place where I can work with my own hands.

A place that can become a real source of income for our family.

I have dreamed of having my own small business for a long time.

Now, we finally have a place where that dream could become possible.

We Want to Build It Step by Step

Our plan is simple.

First, we need to build and prepare the small restaurant space.

Then we need to furnish it and purchase the cooking equipment and supplies needed to operate it.

Because electricity in Gaza remains extremely limited, we also hope to install solar panels and a battery system to help provide the electricity we need to operate the restaurant.

This is not a large business.

It is a small beginning.

But for my family, it could mean a completely different future.

Instead of asking for help every month, I want to create something that allows me to provide for my children myself.

I Don't Want to Ask for Help Every Day

I will never forget the people who helped us survive.

Every donation, every message, every share, and every prayer has meant more to my family than I can explain.

But my greatest wish is not to continue asking people to support us forever.

My greatest wish is to become self-reliant.

I want to earn money through my own effort.

I want to provide for Yusuf, Jouri, and Julia through the work of my own hands.

I want to wake up one morning, open the door of our little restaurant, and know that this is the beginning of a new chapter for our family.
