As many of my friends know, Mugen is my entire world. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for him and I would be so lost with out him.

This morning I woke up to sounds of him gagging trying to throw up. I saw he hadn’t eaten his dinner from last night and that he was extremely lethargic and drooling a lot. I immediately took him to the emergency vet and discovered he had swallowed the rope part of his toy. They tried to induce vomiting but it didn’t help so they went in and had to surgically remove it. Thankfully being successful and removing all the pieces. He is now recovering and will hopefully be released to me tomorrow and not require more monitoring. They said his recovery should go smoothly depending on how he wakes up from anesthesia and reacts this evening when they check in on him periodically.

I unfortunately am not super well off and this year was recovering from my own health issues I was dealing with for over the past two years financially. I took out all of my savings so far to pay for this which leaves me no room for anything else should he need more medicine or treatments. I am now at a total of 3200$ spent and am looking to possibly owe more tomorrow when I get him if he’s released to me then.
