My name is Rosa, I'm Muffin's mom.

Monday (September 29, 2025), my kitten Muffin went in to get spayed and there were complications in the healing process. I communicated my concerns to the vet about her breathing and not eating. I was told to go in Saturday to get checked. He saw her, rushed through the visit, didn't even hear her lungs, and said all was okay. He was positive that she was "constipated" and told me to purchase mineral oil. He charged me $110 for giving her fluid and vitamin B. They didn't even have her in the back long enough to be given fluids.

Sunday afternoon, she lay on the sofa struggling to breathe. I took her to the emergency room. She had aspiration pneumonia, a fever of 104°F, and anemia. She was hospitalized for 22 hours, was in an oxygen chamber to help her with her breathing.
