Muffin and Teddy- dental Specialist
Since pulling Muffin from the shelter she has had chronic eye discharge. After several visits to the vet Sinusitis Maxillaris is suspected, an ongoing infection of the upper sinus that seems to have affected the upper dentition and is bulging the bone out. Her incisors are growing at an incredibly fast rate that we are having trouble keeping up. This has led to her requiring incisor removal surgery. This is a major surgery that requires 2-3 days in hospital at OVC.
If Muffin is left longer than 2 weeks without a dental trim she wouldn't be able to open her mouth any longer. Our last x-ray was at the end of September which showed her teeth lining up and looking good. In almost 6 weeks her teeth grew enough to almost no longer be able to open her mouth. There were ZERO signs of this going on besides discharge from the eye.
When we looked back at Teddy's dental x-rays it looks like he has the same issues going on as Muffin and will need to be sent on the same day for the same diagnostics.
We need your help for Muffin and Teddy to see a dental specialists and have a CT of their skulls. We are most likely looking at teeth needing to be pulled as well.
Please help Hanna and Teddy be able to keep eating with a donation.
