Dear Friends and Family of Muffie;

Our "party girl", "life of the party", has fallen on hard times. She is suffering from memory loss, has run out of money and has been evicted from her apartment. Jennifer and I have her in an extended stay hotel until housing/shelter can be found for her. There is a waitlist. Jennifer is working with a social worker to get her into housing/shelter. I am working on Medicaid and SSI. This is a very lengthy process in the best of times, now add a goverment shut down. Kimi is working on selling what jewelry she has left and fills in when Jennifer is not available.

Jennifer tried to get her an apartment, but the truth is, is that she will not be able to live on her own. The extended stay hotel is $3400.00* a month ($850.00 per week), plus food, etc. This is the least expensive hotel, that is safe. Jennifer and I have paid for her to stay for 2 1/2 weeks. It is close to Jennifer's home so she can take her grocery shopping and to appointments. I am committed to contributing $1,000.00 a month, but we need some help from all of you. We need to raise $3400.00* per month. Muffie gets about $1,200.00 a month from SS, but ends up with $800.00 after Medicare is taken out.

Please help us help our girl....she is homeless and needs to be in a memory care facility.
