Hi! My name is Mufasa and this is my new dad Miles! My dad found me on a stormy day in Omaha when I was lost in the woods and had nowhere else to go. Before we became family officially, my dad did everything he could to find me a new home before deciding to keep me. I know he wasn't looking to be a dog dad right now but I just knew I wanted to be with him forever. Other potential homes fell through, I didn't have a chip and when it came to going to the humane society my dad couldn't let these sweet brown eyes go.

So many wonderful strangers have been rooting for us and have helped us get where we are today but we do need a little more help... I was diagnosed with heart worm and it seems to be a pretty severe case too. I have seen the vet already to talk about a plan and have even started some medication. The rest of the treatment is expensive and we could use some help. (Like I said, I was a surprise to my dad... he wasn't quite prepared for me!)

The estimated cost of my treatment is around $1500. I also need to be neutered and we are hoping to have a little extra in case we need additional check ups for my health. I am also trying to fatten up so I can be a healthy boy!

There has been so many people that have showed us love already, we feel so lucky. Anything you are able to donate helps and if not we appreciate you thinking of us. I am so happy in my new home and want to spend many more years going on walks, visiting the dog parks, snuggling and getting to know my cat sister Nala.
