Help Support the Mudbugs Staff After Our Sudden Closure
Many of you have heard that Mudbugs has suddenly closed its doors. While losing our jobs has been devastating on its own, many employees are also facing the reality of unpaid wages and bounced paychecks.
My name is Sara Kelley, and I was the former General Manager at Mudbugs. Since the closure, I’ve been in contact with nearly every member of our staff, helping them navigate resources, answer questions, and do everything I can to get them the help they need. I care deeply about every one of them, and it has been heartbreaking to hear the stories of what so many are facing right now.
Some of our employees are single parents trying to provide for their children. Others are worried about paying rent or their mortgage, keeping the lights on, buying groceries, making car payments, or covering other basic necessities. While many of us are pursuing unemployment benefits and other assistance, those resources often take weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, our bills can’t wait.
This fundraiser is being organized by me, alongside members of our staff, to provide immediate financial relief to the employees who have been impacted by the closure. Every dollar raised will go directly to our staff. No funds from this fundraiser will be used for ownership or business expenses.
To ensure fairness and transparency, I am working with our staff to help designate and distribute funds as evenly and responsibly as possible, while also considering those facing the greatest immediate hardships.
If you ever dined with us, celebrated a special occasion, watched a game, or simply enjoyed the hospitality our team worked so hard to provide, we humbly ask for your support during this incredibly difficult time.
No donation is too small. If you’re unable to give, simply sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community can make a tremendous difference.
On behalf of our entire Mudbugs staff, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Your compassion will help provide hope and relief to people who dedicated themselves to serving this community.
