Help Mu Recover!

Hi everyone, this is Mu! He’s a sweet and affectionate 2-year-old cat who recently went through a very difficult time.

On June 18th, we noticed that Mu wasn’t feeling well. He had vomited and refused to eat. He stayed quiet and weak throughout the day, so we rushed him to the vet. After an emergency ultrasound, the vet discovered a foreign object obstructing his small intestine. Mu had to be hospitalized immediately and undergo emergency surgery to prevent further complications.

The next day, he was operated on, and the vets found a 95cm (over 3 feet) long plastic ribbon running from his stomach to the jejunum (middle part of the small intestine).

Today, Mu is slowly recovering and feeling better. He had to be fed and medicated through a tube for three weeks, but now he’s able to eat by himself again and is getting stronger each day.

Unfortunately, all of this came at a high cost. The total amount spent so far is €1,200, and we are still short by €1,000 to cover all of Mu’s treatment.

Oi gente, esse é o Mu!

Um gatinho muito fofo e carinhoso de 2 aninhos. No mês passado, dia 18/06, notamos que ele não acordou muito bem, havia vomitado no corredor de casa e não queria comer. Nesse dia, o Mu vomitou diversas vezes, não comeu e ficou bastante quietinho, então decidimos levá-lo ao veterinário. Na consulta, a médica suspeitou de obstrução por corpo estranho e foi necessário um ultrassom de emergência. No ultrassom, foi constatado algo obstruindo o intestino delgado dele e a partir daí ele precisou ficar internado e passar por uma cirurgia de emergência para não ter mais complicações. Ele foi operado no dia seguinte e encontraram nada mais nada menos do que uma fita de 95cm de comprimento, que ia desde o estomago até o jejuno (porção "média" do intestino delgado). Hoje o Mu se encontra bem melhor, em recuperação, mas teve de ficar sendo alimentado e medicado por sonda por três semanas. Todos esses procedimentos foram necessários para salvar a vida dele, no entanto, foram também bem caros e no momento nós tutores não temos como arcar com todo o valor. No total, foram gastos €1.200, com todos os procedimentos realizados até agora. Nós conseguimos arcar apenas com uma parte do tratamento, pelo que ainda faltam €1.000 e precisamos da sua ajuda para quitar esse valor urgentemente :(( Qualquer ajuda é valida, seja doando ou compartilhando com os amigos!
