Help Ms. White Become a PE Teacher!

Hi friends and family! This is Alison (Ali) White, known to my students as Ms. White. I am a public high school English teacher in San Francisco. I have taught English for nine years, and I am ready for a new challenge and change! In 2018, I found a love of movement again, completely changing my life. For the last four years, I have learned and practiced HIIT, kettlebells, mobility, strength training, weight lifting, various dance forms, performance art, rollerskating, and more! Movement brings so much joy to my life, and my passion for teaching is ever-present! I am excited to merge a newer love with a passion I've nurtured and grown in for over a decade. Adding a PE authorization to credential helps make me an even more dynamic educator. I have so much to offer my students already, and I am looking forward to learning a new methodology for my teaching.
Furthermore, as a student who sometimes felt on the outskirts of the classroom, I am excited to represent health, movement, and strength at any size. Consistently, students and colleagues have told me that my English classes offer a space for students who have not always liked or been successful in English a place to thrive and discover. I am immensely excited to translate that same space into physical education, giving all students a place to be themselves, explore their movement, build strength and confidence, nurture their holistic health, and discover the athlete that lives within them.
To earn my credential in Physical Education, I must take a 3-unit methodology course and pass 3 subtests for the PE CSET. My tuition is $1800 and the subtests are $99 each. I have a small amount of funding for half the costs of the CSET exams already, so I am looking to fund the remaining expenses. Thank you so much for supporting me in this endeavor! I am BEYOND THRILLED!
