Our beloved Ms. Wanda has fallen critically ill after suffering a major stroke and brain bleed on Monday, July 22nd on her way to work. She is currently in critical condition, on life support, in Tri-City Hospital.

Ms. Wanda has served the AM-PM Program in VUSD for over 20 years, molding and shaping young students to be the best they could be. Wanda has found value and joy in serving young children and families and has made many lifelong friendships in doing so. Wanda is the kind of person who can strike up and hold conversation with anyone she meets- her kind-spirited nature has gifted her with many amazing people in her life, who undoubtably would define her as sassy & sweet, but someone they would want in their corner.

Wanda’s youngest daughter, Yashmine, has made the trip out from Michigan, putting her nursing school on hold to care for her mom during this time.

Funds are being collected to help with rising costs, end of life expenses, and to best support Yashmine in this time of need. Any remaining funds will be gifted to Yashmine so that she can continue to bless the lives of others in her nursing journey.
