Help Ms. Smith Beat Cancer

Margaret Smith (or Ms. Smith as her students lovingly call her) was my kindergarten and second grade teacher. But more than that, she has become a long-standing family friend. Anyone who is lucky enough to know her knows that she loves teaching, and has always been full of life and an incredibly generous spirit.

Our dear Ms. Smith has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is preparing for a double mastectomy. The road ahead is sure to be challenging, not least of which includes the financial burden of paying the medical bills for the operation and subsequent care.

If you can find it in you to donate, I know it would relieve so much of the stress that Ms. Smith must be dealing with right now. Any amount helps—$5, $10—no amount is too small.
