The entire staff at Westfield School is asking for some help for our amazing lunch lady, Ms. Rebecca. Unfortunately, she will be out for a while as she requires a pretty significant surgery. Between the medical expenses of the surgery itself without insurance and being out of work for the duration of the recovery period over the holidays, she could really use our help.

Ms. Rebecca is not just the lunch lady of our school, she is the glue. She takes time to know every single student - not just their names and lunch orders, but their likes, dislikes, quirks, motivators, etc. She consistently goes above and beyond to make our kids feel loved and important. She provides important opportunities for responsibility and pride in the "student helper" jobs that she has created. Ms. Rebecca ALWAYS shows up for the students, staff, and families of Winthrop Harbor, so it's only right that we show up for her during this time!

She is a selfless person at school and at home, where she willingly makes sacrifices to make sure her beloved pets are well taken care of. She isn’t the type of person to reach out when she needs help, but we are making sure that she knows she has a whole community behind her at this time.

If you can give anything at all to help our amazing Ms. Rebecca at this time, we would be so grateful. Holidays are hard enough without the added stress of medical bills and daily expenses. We'd like to give her the greatest holiday gift of all - peace of mind.
