On April 13th, 2023 Ms. Patt'ys house caught fire due to a faulty power strip. Everyone is safe, including her two cats. She was not home at the time of the fire. The fire damaged the entire back half of her house as well as the upstairs and roof. Anywhere that was not touched by the flames is covered in soot and/or has severe water damage. Her daughter Weveney will be returning from college for summer break and the two will need a clean and safe home.

Ms. Patty is a hardworking Detroiter who dedicates her time to caregiving for the elderly and home cleaning. Anyone lucky enough to know her knows just how special it is to be in her company. Ms. Patty has lived in this house for over 30 years and has raised all four of her children here. She is devastated at the loss and is eager to get back on her feet and back into her home as soon as possible. We are hoping to raise at least $70,000 to help relieve some of the stress and cost of this disaster.
