Help Ms. Norma (McEwen Dollar Store) after fall

Ms. Norma Camp works at the McEwen TN Dollar General Store. For over 4 months, she has been feeding this dog that she calls "Baby Boy" who showed up skinny one day. Baby Boy would get just close enough to eat, but would not let anyone catch him. Instead, he ran back and forth across highway 70 several times a day, giving everyone who witnessed a close call a panic attack. She begged for someone to come help rescue him from danger. Several tried, but he was too smart to fall for anything. She told me that for months he was the last thing on her mind at night and the first thing she thought about every morning.

One morning, Ms. Norma fell and broke her hip and her femur in several places. She had to be taken by ambulance to Horizon Medical in Dickson, TN. There, she worried constantly about Baby Boy, instead of herself.

Trisha Davids, who runs TCB Kennels Boarding & Rescue, came to the rescue - literally. Trisha was able to safely catch Baby Boy in less than a week!!

Knowing Ms. Norma could use a pick-me-up, Trisha and I headed to Horizon Medical Rehabilitation in Dickson.

We walked in with Baby Boy, and Ms. Norma immediately started crying. We all cried - Trisha, the nurses, and me.

She was so thrilled to see that Baby Boy was safe, and she enjoyed petting him, as you can see from the picture. (I think it helped him to see her, as well.)

Ms. Norma will be out of work for a long time, and has a lot of hard rehab a head of her. I know that every cent donated will go towards helping Ms Norma and her husband, and that all will be very appreciated (although, they are going to kill me when they see this).
