Hello Harbour Pointe community! Many of you are familiar with the unexpected hardship that our beloved Butterfly Room lead, Ms. Mandy, has been carrying on her shoulders since her husband’s stroke. She is a cherished figure not only in her classroom to the young children, but in the fabric of our community among her peers, sharing her humor, her empathy, and her wisdom in difficult and uncertain times.

We at the ELC would like to take this chance to extend our support to her the way she has always done for us over her years of service to our schools. During the uncertain timeframe of her husband’s recovery, Ms. Mandy has been balancing morning-to-night hospital visits at his side in addition to her role as a mother at home to their equally distraught children as they await progress.

The both of them have had their ability to sustain a livelihood thrown into array, and in the case of Ms. Mandy’s husband, permanently so. We are hoping to engage our community on her behalf just to take even a little of that unimaginable burden off her plate: in whatever way help can take shape.
