Ms. Lopez is a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her US citizen family. She has lived in the United States for over twenty years, after fleeing her home country due to ongoing abuse. This history of severe trauma has led Ms. Lopez to develop various neurocognitive impairments, including dementia.

After surviving a violent assault here in New York, Ms. Lopez is eligible for a U Visa (a path to permanent residency available for victims of qualifying crimes). The final hurdle between Ms. Lopez and her U Visa application is an outstanding fine, which she cannot afford to pay on her own. Please join us in supporting Ms. Lopez so she can apply for a U Visa, and have the opportunity to pursue this pathway to remaining in the United States with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
