Hi, my name is Ms. Jessie, and I’ve been a Special Education Teacher for the past 10 years. Working with students who have diverse needs has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Each child I work with brings unique strengths, challenges, and incredible potential—and I’m always looking for new ways to support their growth, comfort, and confidence.

One dream I’ve held close for years is to introduce a therapy dog into our classroom—a trained, gentle companion who can offer emotional support, reduce anxiety, and help build social and emotional skills for my students. Research and firsthand stories have shown just how impactful therapy animals can be for students with special needs, and I want to give my class this incredible opportunity.

I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise $4,000 to cover the cost of:

Purchasing and training a certified therapy dog

Veterinary care and ongoing wellness needs

Supplies like food, bedding, grooming, and toys

Insurance and certification requirements

This isn’t just about bringing a dog into the classroom—this is about creating a calm, safe space where my students can thrive emotionally and socially. Every dollar brings us closer to a dream that will benefit children for years to come.
