Hi! My name is Ms. Hall and I teach Kindergarten at a Title 1 school in Kyle, Texas. I am passionate about providing a strong love and foundation for school in my students that will make them lifelong learners. I go above and beyond to build an authentic classroom community where it really feels like we are a family. I heavily teach social and emotional skills like emotion regulation, boundary setting, and conflict resolution, all while keeping aligned with our district's reading and math curriculum. I prioritize teaching to the whole child and reinforcing skills to make well-rounded community members. I also work closely with parents to empower them to teach and reinforce skills at home that we are learning at school.
I am raising money to send myself to a summer conference called Get Your Teach On. This conference will allow me to collaborate with other educators, gain new materials, learn best practices, and impact the generations of students I intend to teach. Teaching is my calling and attending this conference will allow me to enhance my craft and learn valuable skills that will impact my entire community.
I am already a leader in my school community by leading professional development trainings, mentoring teachers, mentoring parents, leading after-school clubs, sitting on the board of our school PTA, facilitating school-wide events, and co-leading committees on my campus. I am a teacher who is deeply involved with my colleagues, students, and community.
By attending this conference, I will be able to learn more and then come back and teach these valuable lessons to other educators, spreading the knowledge to our most vulnerable learners.
Due to budget cuts and deadlines, my district is unable to send me to this amazing conference so I am seeking help from my community.
I would so appreciate any and all donations which will be used for my lodging at the conference and the actual conference pass to attend.
Thank you all so much for your consideration!
