Many of you in the community know my Auntie, Beverley Green, Bev Green, or Ms. Green from Oscoda Area Schools. In 2011, Ms. Bev slipped on the ice at school causing her to retire early. She is still a pillar in this community and volunteers every chance she gets; She works with pantries in town, the Christian Women in Action, and Highpoint. She has always been Auntie Bev to every kid she has come across.

Last year around this time Auntie Bev’s sister passed away. She lived out in California and Auntie Bev didn’t see her as much as she would have liked to. Though they talked every morning and often times more than once a day. She also has another sister out in California who she doesn’t get to see very often but again communicates with Dailey and has a strong relationship with. About a week ago Auntie Bev’s sister fell and two brain bleeds formed. They operated and she is currently in the ICU trying to recover but her recorrer y won’t stop when she is able to leave the ICU. We are setting up this Go-Fund-Me to help send Ms. Bev Green out to California so she can see and be with her sister as well as her other family members who were able to travel. Auntie bev would never want to ask for anything like this but seeing her be away from her best friend and family through this tragic emergency is something no one should have to experience. Throughout all the years Ms. Green took care of us kids, now I think it’s our turn to take care of her.
