Ms. Ginger is a loving, hard working crossing guard at Harmony Elementary School, in Middletown New Jersey. Ms. Ginger has a love for these students that words could never begin to describe. These children look up to her and cant wait to greet her in the mornings when she crosses them across the busy roads and when the bell rings at the end of the day. Ms. Ginger has her "Friday Tradition" where she gives candy out to ALL of the kids at school, never missing a week.
I met Ms. Ginger 4 years ago, I was a scared new mom sending my son to preschool and was lucky & blessed to have crossed paths with someone like Ms. Ginger.
You see, Ms. Ginger is more than a crossing guard, she has become a devoted part of our family at Harmony School, the type of person to always put others first. Now, more than ever we need to put Ms. Ginger first as she is in need of our help. Ms. Ginger was diagnosed over 2 years ago with lung cancer after countless chemotherapy treatments it has now spread to her liver. The medical bills have become increasingly expensive and the weight of dealing with them is starting to take a toll. Ms. Ginger is the embodiment of kindness and strength she is fighting a hard battle yet won't take any days off because she would rather be there for our children. Let's give a little something back to help Ms. Ginger as she has helped all of us at one point wether it be giving candy to our children, hugs, a smile or a kind word and even in some cases a shoulder to cry on. I think if we can raise this money we can take some of the pressure off of Ms. Ginger's shoulders. Please, from the bottom of my heart I ask that you donate what you can. ANY amount helps.
