For those that don't know me, my name is John Mason. Ms. Doris is a part of our personal family as well as our Kurtz's Beach family and she is in need of our help. As most of you know my mother, Rose Mason, passed away at 99 years of age this past June. Ms. Doris was my mothers best friend for well over 75 of those years. At close to 101 years of age, Ms. Doris is of clear mind, strong wit, and has an amazing singing voice however, has outlived many of her family members and her money. After thinking that her twilight years were set, Ms. Doris now finds herself in a very harsh place. Many years ago, Ms. Doris came to live with her son & daughter in law in their home in Pasadena. Whereas the plan seemed to be working out just fine for everyone, her daughter in law passed suddenly this past summer and her son now finds himself with a very severe health condition, no longer able to care for his mother. She needs the additional care arrangements as soon as possible. Whereas Ms. Doris is of strong mind, she does need physical assistance in her daily care. If you've ever looked into adult care it is extremely costly, whereas she has some funds, it is not enough for her care in a sound environment.  Family members have been able to find a place for Ms Doris, however, with the high cost of care, her stay would have to be very limited, and then what? Ms. Doris has gone out of her way to help anyone she knows, always with a smile and a joke. She's a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Over the years she has sang at almost every nursing home in the area. In her later years she could be found working at Kurtz's Beach alongside Rose. I'm simply asking, if you find it in your heart, to donate what you are able. My family and I feel strongly that after all of these years of her smile, song, and wit, we want to be able to help her any way we can. Thank you in advance! John
