Mrs. S. is a kind, elderly neighbor who has recently faced a series of hardships. Our team at Junk-ninja met her when we were called by a family friend to help remove some items from her home. While we were there, Mrs. S. shared her story with us—she’s been struggling with her health, managing diabetes, and now, right before the holidays, she’s been evicted by her landlord. She has to be out by the end of December and, living on a fixed income, she’s unsure how she’ll afford her next place.

Hearing her story moved our entire team. Mrs. S. was so gracious and kind, even in the midst of her challenges. It’s heartbreaking to see someone go through this, especially during a time that’s supposed to be filled with joy and togetherness. We felt called to help, so we’re moving her belongings for free and want to do even more by raising enough to cover her first month’s rent in her new home.
