Help Ms. Killings Retire!

My aunt, Eva Killings, better known as Ms. Killings, has been an employee on Florida State University’s campus for 47 years. Her genuine love and compassion for the students, faculty, parents, alumni and community has always shown through as a beam of light and love. She has been honored on several platforms, including Forbes magazine, where they stated, “She Delivered Award Winning Customer Service When No One Was Looking.” Her amazing smile and spirit poured over into the lives of many Seminoles and visitors over decades.

Her employment at Florida State started in September of 1975 with a contracted company and she continued through her years at Florida State working for contracted companies without the provision of a sustainable retirement plan. After discussions with faculty at Florida State University, she has recently accepted a position as the official University Dining Service Ambassador which will come with some benefits she never experienced.

Along with the excitement of truly becoming a Seminole, Ms. Killings was hit with the heartbreaking news from doctors that her severe scoliosis is compressing her heart and lungs. As a result, it causes some trouble breathing and comes with a level of pain.

Without knowing what tomorrow may bring, I am seeking to provide some financial assistance to aid with future medical treatments and allow such a loving and deserving individual a chance to retire and enjoy life now during her golden years.

Ms. Killings can never be away from her babies for too long and will continue to support the FSU community by volunteering on campus.
