Mrs. Kathy is my next-door neighbor. I have watched her do so many things for people. She has given the shirt off her back for anyone who needs it. She has always taken care of her children and grandchildren, and even my daughter. She lost her husband a few years ago, and not too long after that, she lost her only son. That was heartbreaking for her, but she has continued to stay strong for the rest of her family. She is pretty much the nicest lady in the world and always pushes to have a smile even after everything she went through.

But then the worst happened. On October 22, 2024, at 2:30 am, a fire broke out due to a bad outlet and destroyed her home, the home she has had and raised her family in. She takes care of her sick brother Jon (68), her 2 grandchildren Piper and Keith. Piper is 8 years old with ADHD, and Keith is 16 with Asperger's. She also houses the mother of her grandchildren right now as well. She lost her 2 cats and 90% of all belongings in the house .

We have been working with the community, and the community has been great, but they won't be able to get her a new home. Please help me help her get started on her new path of getting a nice home for her and her grandchildren. She really deserves it.
