Help Mrs. Hutchings Become a Lead Teacher!

I have worked with Mrs. Hutchings for the past two years, where I have been able to see what an incredible mother, co-worker, and friend she is. We teach together at a school in North West Atlanta that primarily serves low income students and students of color.
Education is calling for Mrs. Hutchings, not a job, which is why she has been teaching for 13 years. Above all, her students know that they are loved and that their learning is important when they are in her care. She pushes kids to be the best that they can be and helps them find ways to accomplish their goals, even when they struggle. She builds strong relationships with her students' families and their important people in order to support their development.
Even though Mrs. Hutchings has 13 years of experience in the classroom, she will not be able to become a lead teacher unless she receives her degree in education and completes licensure requirements. This would help her and her husband better provide for their family of 4 beautiful children as lead teachers are paid more than teaching associates.
Knowing this, Mrs. Hutchings' took the initiative of re-enrolling in college. Since the beginning of this school year, she has been teaching our students full time, taking a full course load of college classes, and supporting her 4 children (ranging from first grade to high school,) as they navigate virtual learning due to the pandemic. Despite it all, she has maintained excellent grades in her first semester back.
In order for Mrs. Hutchings to complete this semester and enroll in courses for the spring, she needs to be able to finish paying off this semester of tuition as well as paying for the next. She is responsible for covering $2,125 each semester. So far, she has paid $1,230 on her own, leaving her with a balance of $895 for this semester. She needs to be able to raise this $895 immediately, as she will not be able to enroll in courses until her balance is paid. We are also hoping to cover her next semester's tuition, which brings our fundraising total to $3,020.
Please remember that donating or sharing will not only help Mrs. Hutchings are her family, but the countless students that she will continue to have throughout her career. They thank you for your generosity.
