Help Mrs. Clark Fight Cancer

If you've been to Sayre Elementary in South Lyon, you know that we have one of the best PE teachers around - Mrs. Jennifer Clark, who has been at Sayre for the last 13 years and has taught in the South Lyon school district since 2000! Mrs. Clark loves teaching her Sayre Sharks fun and exciting activities and P.E skills every day in the gymnasium. She has a gentle demeanor and a kind attitude that help her Sharks feel loved and supported in her presence. Because she teaches every student from JK-5th grade, she truly makes a difference in the lives of every Sayre Shark. When you think of Sayre, Mrs. Clark immediately comes to mind. She is Sayre Elementary.

Right now, Mrs. Clark, along with her husband Mike and daughter Miranda (a second-grader at Sayre), need your help. Mrs. Clark was recently diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ, a form of breast cancer. She will undergo surgery within the next few weeks. Due to her rheumatoid arthritis, Mrs. Clark has already had to take many days off school, leaving her without any sick days for her surgery and recovery. Therefore, during her cancer surgery and recovery, the time off will be unpaid leave from work.

We live in an amazing community filled with compassion, love, care and support for one another. Now, just like we have done before, we need to come together to help one of our very own. Join us in supporting Jennifer, Mike, and Miranda in their fight to kick cancer's butt!
