This is Mrs. Barbara. If you frequent Speedy Stop in Lumberton, i am sure you have seen her in there working. She makes and puts out all of the deli food that so many people enjoy every day. Every time i see her i speak to her and she is always just the sweetest lady. One day i asked her if she just gets bored at home and if that is why she is working. she put her head down, gave a slight sigh, and said no. She told me that her insurance will only cover so much of the medicine her and her husband needs. She has to work to pay the difference. This does not sit right with me and honestly breaks my heart. She should be relaxing, enjoying her golden years with her husband, not having to continue to work to live. with your help, i would like to change that. Let's get Mrs. Barbara back home with her husband instead of having to work everyday just to afford their medicine.
