My name is Viviane and a while ago I hired a lovely Palestinian graphic designer, Mram, to help with a logo.

She and her family live in Gaza. She was receiving payments through GoFundMe, because all other means had stopped working. Eventually her GoFundMe account got deactivated, too. Left unable to set up a new one, she asked me to do this for her.

(Disclaimer - I’ll be receiving the funds and sending them to her using crypto. It seems Palestinians are kept from being able to receive funds through normal means).

This is her story :

My name is Mram, and I’m an engineering student from Gaza.

We are a family of eight — among us a medical student, an engineer, and a little girl who has never had the chance to truly experience childhood.

We have lost everything we owned and have been forced to move from place to place seven times. Each time, we carry fewer belongings and more fear. Life now feels unbearably difficult and uncertain.

With extreme shortages of basic necessities, even the simplest needs have become nearly impossible to afford:

$100 — A kilogram of flour can cost up to this amount

$30+ — A kilogram of simple vegetables like potatoes or tomatoes is often more than this

$5 — A gallon of clean drinking water is around this price

We are living in a state of famine, struggling each day just to survive.

My little sister, Alaa, has changed so much—I’ll share two photos of her: one from before this hardship, and one now. Her eyes alone tell a story that words can’t capture.

Because we are a family of 8, we need approximately $5,000 per person to leave and cover the most basic costs of relocation, shelter, and starting over somewhere safe.

Despite everything, I still hold on to hope.

I dream of finishing my education and living with my family in peace, in a place that allows us to simply exist without fear.
