Hello! I'm Mister Worldwide! You may know me from my time at Neko Cat Cafe where I eventually found my forever home with some humans that were helping out fostering some kittens~
My journey has been a long one, and now I need help.
Back in July of 2025, a few months after I was adopted, I was diagnosed with FIP ( Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Most commonly simplified as "Kitty Covid". I was considered to have the 'dry' variant, and could not actually get samples taken to confirm, but I was responding to the medication. After 12 weeks with a couple of hiccups, I got better.
Many cats with FIP couldn't be able to say the same just as recent as 2024. The medicine was not legal or widely available until then. Now many cats are starting to thrive from what used to be considered a death sentence.
And then I relapsed in November. I did another 12 weeks of medicine.
And here I am again.
My pet parents' wallets are stretched thin now, and are still trying everything they can to help me even as up front funds have dried out.
This time, the veterinarians aren't sure if it's FIP. Some of them do, some of them don't. Understandably, we want to rule out any other possibilities just in case there's a red herring (I prefer tuna). In the meantime, my fever runs rampant. FIP medicine is expensive, and trying to see internal medicine specialists, is expensive. My parents thankfully got some insurance for me, but we still have to pay costs up front and it takes time to get that reimbursement back just to do it all again.
Please, if you can help, I appreciate the lending paw.
