What began as a routine treatment for diverticulitis spiraled into a nightmare: multiple botched surgeries, a medically induced coma, prolonged rehabilitation, and now, life-altering chronic conditions.

Despite it all, Mr. T’s spirit remains strong. He was the kind of teacher who made learning unforgettable—innovative, engaging, and deeply caring. It’s our turn to give back.

Mr. T survives on a modest teacher’s pension, social security, and Medicare, and they are no longer enough to cover his humble expenses and substantial medical costs. His son, a rookie firefighter in Prosper, Texas, helps as much as he can—but resources are limited. His daughter, heartbreakingly, has been listed as a missing person for decades.
