Hi, My name is Mr. Piggens. I was purchased by a family who had plans to eat me! Fortunately, I became best friends with a nice lady who worked at the farm. She would spend lots of time hanging out with me and even taught me a few tricks! As I grew bigger and bigger my new friend started to worry that soon I would be someone's dinner. She asked my owner if she could find me a new home where I could live out my life as a happy pig. My owner was kind enough to allow her some time to find me a home, but I was on borrowed time.

Luckily for me she was able to get in touch with Whispering Spruce Animal Sanctuary who agreed to take me in.

I unloaded at the farm like I always lived there, quickly bonding with my new mom & dad! I even help mom with barn chores & you can find a video of me sweeping on Facebook!

I am told because I moved to my new home on short notice they weren’t really prepared for a big pig like me! I heard mom reached out to some rescues to see if anyone had space for a pig like me but everyone was full. Mom was so scared I may end up in the wrong hands so she decided we have to make it work at the farm!

A rescued horse on the property named Luna has been letting me stay in her stall for the time being. Unfortunately, I can't stay in her stall much longer as the weather is getting colder, and she will need it on the cold nights.

Mom & dad tell me I need my own piggy condo. They also said in the spring we are going to extend my paddock into the forest so I have lots of room to play!

My dream home is a beautiful 10x10 piggy condo that I can one day share with another rescue pig!

I would love to stay with mom & dad at the farm ❤️
