Help for Mr. Jerry

Hi, this is April and Patrice, daughters of Jerry. We have set up this fundraiser to help our parents. Our dad, Jerry, has been hospitalized since February 19. Here is our story, and let me tell you, it has been a whirlwind. Wednesday, February 16, daddy went to UNC ED at Chapel Hill due to fatigue, fever, and shortness of breath. No DVT (blood clots) was found even though he had elevated blood work. Daddy was sent home with pain meds. Thursday, saw PCP. Saturday, February 19, we went back to UNC ED at Chapel Hill, with more swelling in legs and moved to the knee admitted. We found that he has septic arthritis in the knee joint with cellultis. Monday, February 21, knee surgery. Tuesday, February 22, port placed. Friday, February 25, colon surgery. We are looking at months of recovery, medicine, and rehab, with the possibility of another surgery in the months to come. Any help is greatly appreciated. This help will go towards the hospital bill (he has insurance but will still be liable for about $3000), food for mama as she has not left his side, gas for mama to go back and forth once he is in rehab, and household bills.
