Hi, my name is Skye, and I’m Mr Grumpy’s mum. I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help my brave boy in his fight against melanoma.

My husband Josh (Catdad) works full-time but I’m currently unable to work due to my mental health struggles. I want to do everything I possibly can to give Grumps the best chance of fighting this horrible disease.

We do have pet insurance but we will still have significant out-of-pocket expenses throughout Grumps treatment. Last week we saw his oncologist and started an immunotherapy treatment called Oncept. The initial treatment course costs approximately $6,000. He will receive treatments every two weeks for eight weeks, followed by a booster every six months, which costs around $1,500 each time.

Grumps will need regular blood tests, ongoing medications, and repeat CT scans to monitor his progress. It is estimated that he will require CT scans every three months, with each scan costing approximately $2,600.

I know times are incredibly tough with the current cost of living and I understand if you’re not in a position to donate but just sharing this fundraiser would mean the absolute world to us.

If you’ve followed us for a while, you’ll know that my cats are my world. They are the reason I get up every day and provide me with so much love and emotional support.

We’ve shared Mr Grumpy’s journey on Instagram over the past three years and he’s overcome so much already. He deserves the chance to enjoy many more happy & healthy years.
