This holiday season, our beloved science teacher, Mr. Forbes, faced an unimaginable hardship. On the day before Christmas, a devastating fire swept through his family’s home, leaving it uninhabitable. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the fire has displaced Mr. Forbes and his family, forcing them to temporarily stay in a hotel while they work to restore their home.

Mr. Forbes is more than just a teacher at HVA West Middle—he’s a mentor, a role model, and a source of inspiration for so many of our students. His passion for science and dedication to his students have always gone above and beyond, and now it’s our turn to give back to someone who has given so much to our school and community.

As we welcome the new year, let’s come together to help Mr. Forbes and his family have a stable start. Donations will go directly to supporting their immediate needs, such as temporary housing, clothing, and essentials, as they navigate this challenging time.
