Helping Mr. Daniels on his road to recovery
Donation protected
This is my father, John Daniels, he is 47 years old. We are from Las Vegas, Nevada. January 1st, 2020, he was unfortunately fired from his job of 20 years, due to attendance issues from being in and out of the hospital from complications of breathing from his condition. This is his journey. In 2011 he suffered from multiple heart attacks, and a schimick stroke. Stemming from unknowingly having high blood pressure and diabetes that unfortunately went untreated for years. From 2011 to 2013 he was in and out of the hospital, starting with Chronic Kidney Disease that digressed into End Stage Renal Disease. For those who are unfamiliar, this is Kidney Failure. It’s been a long road since then. He’s been on dialysis to keep him alive since June 2013 til January 7th 2020. He had been waiting on the list, being added and removed due to other medical issues. October 8th, 2019 he got the call for a possible transplant that fell through, but god said I have a better one just for you. January 7, 2020 we received a phone call for an immediate transplant in Phoenix, AZ. We rushed to the Mayo Clinic, five hours later he was on the operating table, waiting for his life to change. The surgery was a complete success! He now has brand new, beautiful kidney and is currently in recovery. The recovery time frame is estimated to be between four to eight weeks, before he can go home. During this time he will have to travel to and from the hospital everyday, and remain in Arizona with a 24 hour caregiver. All of this is a big, stressful financial burden, there’s no longer any income coming in, we have a household and a family of five. Any and all donations/prayers would be greatly appreciated during this time. Thank you and god bless.
