Imagine yourself or your father walking to the local market to buy some vegetables 400 yards from your house; unexpectedly to be struck from behind by a speeding motorcycle. The impact of the collision caused Vinod Kumar’s father (Mr. Chandrashekar) to fall forward injuring his head/brain on the paved road. I am asking for your support to help alleviate some of the financial, emotional, and physical strain this catastrophic accident has caused the Kumar/Chandrashekar family.

Vinod’s father, Mr. Chandrashekar,

• Has been admitted to the hospital in a highly critical condition since Jul-01-2023.

• Has sustained brain bleed (Intracerebral hematoma).

• Underwent emergency brain surgery to help with his injuries.

• Had a Tracheotomy performed on him Jul-05-2023.

We are all very thankful that he is gradually recuperating from his injuries. He has been in the ICU for over 30 days and is still admitted to the hospital. According to the doctors, the recovery will take a long period and he may have neurological deficits due to the brain bleed he sustained. We expect he will require continued care for an unspecified period.

Unfortunately, Mr. Chandrashekar didn’t have medical insurance. Being admitted to the hospital and ICU for this extended period has been a major drain on his family and their resources.
