MY STORY/ ACCOMPLISHMENTS BELOW!

I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted to present at the SHAPE (Society of Health and Physical Educators) America conference, an esteemed event that brings together educators from around the world. The conference will take place from April 1–5 in Baltimore, Maryland. Aside from presenting I will also be attending the many sessions offered. My presentation will be on Tuesday April 1st.

My presentation will focus on the Parent to PE Week initiative I host annually at Lena Whitmore Elementary. This opportunity allows me to advocate for physical education and share our successes with a broader audience of professionals in the field.

Funding this opportunity will be a financial challenge, so I am pursuing alternative sources to off set some of the personal costs.

Attendance in this conference will benefit my teaching on a professional level for Lena Whitmore and the school district. I will share information gained from this conference across the district to the other physical education department members as well as share some of my best practices with members of the physical education community.

Aside from grants already received I am seeking help for travel ($614.60) and lodging ($1,170.30). Totaling $1,784.90. My other gofundme account raised $265.00 leaving this goal at $1519.90
