Help Mr. Biscuits Beat FIP

Tax deductible
Hi everyone, my name is Jo-Anna, and I am with Rescue Kitty. I’ve spent the last 14 years volunteering in cat rescue, which means so much to me. I’ve had many success stories and a few heartbreaks. I have a heartbreaking plea to help one of my fosters, Mr. Biscuits. Mr. Biscuits was diagnosed with wet FIP on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. https://icatcare.org/advice/feline-infectious-peritonitis-fip/. You can find out what FIP is at this link.

Mr. Biscuits started his 84 days+ treatment to cure him the very same day with much support. I, Mr. Biscuits and Rescue Kitty, are asking for your support to help cover the cost of his treatments for the next 24 weeks. With all his medications, supplements, medical supplies, vet visits and special food it will cost about $4,000 to get him the treatment he needs to go on living a long healthy life once he completes his treatments. Luckily there have been many strides in medicine to treat FIP and there is a cure for this horrible disease. Rescue Kitty is a small foster based, no-kill non-profit 501c3 registered charity. We are all volunteers and rely solely on donations to do what we do. All our kittens and cats are kept in our homes where they can be loved all the time, 24/7. We genuinely love what we do, and we have saved so many injured and less fortunate kittens and cats that we need your help to treat Mr. Biscuits. We aren’t giving up on him! There have been so many successful outcomes for kittens and cats treated for FIP and Mr. Biscuits will be one of them with your help. He is a fighter!!

Mr. Biscuits was found on a cold December 2021 morning in the wheel well of a car crying for help, he was only about 6 weeks old. The person who found Mr. Biscuits was a previous adopter from Rescue Kitty and knew we would help as one of her kitties she adopted was special needs as well. We picked up Mr. Biscuits that night and brought him inside to safety and took him to the vet to be checked out. Mr. Biscuits was healthy except for a non-life-threatening chest deformity. On January 4, 2022, Mr. Biscuits ended up in the vet hospital for 7 days due to a severe respiratory infection and required round the clock treatment. On January 11, 2022, he was able to return to his foster home and finish his treatment, thriving and spending time with his foster siblings. At the end of April 2022, Mr. Biscuits started not to be himself, play or want to eat, so Mr. Biscuits was taken to his vet and diagnosed with wet FIP. Mr. Biscuits vet said there are successful treatment options. You can connect with an FIP group for help or do nothing, treat the symptoms for as long as Mr. Biscuits tolerates it. The inevitable outcome will be euthanasia, as it will take over his body. He will not have any quality of life and will suffocate in his own fluids if he doesn't get treatment. So, we at Rescue Kitty are not giving up on little Mr. Biscuits and need your help.

As Mr. Biscuits foster mom, I went home and jumped into action and with great help, I found the resources to help save Mr. Biscuits life. We immediately started Mr. Biscuits treatment that very same day and expect a positive outcome for him. He is a young kitten at 7 months old who has a strong desire to live.

Now, I, Rescue Kitty and Mr. Biscuits are asking you to help save his life by donating. Mr. Biscuits requires daily injections for 12-16 weeks, blood work and vet check every 4 weeks. Once he is done with his daily injections, he will begin a 12-14 week observation period where he will still need bloodwork and vet visits every 4 weeks. Once he has completed his 12-14 week observation period and everything looks good Mr. Biscuits will be considered cured. So, Mr. Biscuits treatment is a total of 26-28 weeks.

Please donate to this fantastic little fighter and help us save his life. He really deserves it and any dollar amount will help. You can donate here through our go fund me or
