On July 15th, father’s day, Mr. Bacchus a beloved retired educator, husband, father and grandfather was brutally assaulted by someone who made a plea for help at the front door of his family home in St. Croix. USVI. The attack has left him in critical condition with severe brain bleeding and trauma and he was airlifted to Miami for medical attention. He ultimately was transferred to a Long Term Acute Care Hospital in Orlando still in coma. While we are hoping for full recovery there is no telling if or when he may awake and if he does there will still be a long process of physical therapy, language therapy and uncertainty as to his quality of life. This tragedy has exerted unforeseen physical and financial strain on the family, this account was set up by his community in hopes of helping in this regard. The family appreciates the outpouring of love, care, prayers and financial support they have received thus far. Thank you to all who continue to reach out to offer prayers and words of encouragement.
