Every dream deserves a chance, and financial hardship should never be the reason a promising student has to give up on a future he has worked so hard to build.

Imagine leaving your home, family, friends, and everything familiar behind to travel thousands of miles in pursuit of your dream. Imagine making sacrifices every single day, working hard in school, and performing exceptionally well, only to find yourself at risk of not completing your education because of financial circumstances beyond your control.

This is the reality facing M'pho, a determined student from South Africa who traveled to Barbados to attend Ross University School of Medicine, with the goal of becoming a physician.

Since arriving in Barbados, he has remained committed to his education and has demonstrated tremendous dedication and academic promise. Despite the challenges of living far away from home, adjusting to a new environment, and managing the demands of medical school, he has continued to work hard and perform well academically.

Unfortunately, the financial burden of pursuing a medical education abroad has become increasingly difficult to manage.

Since September 2025, he has not been able to return home to South Africa, even during scheduled school breaks, because he simply cannot afford the cost of traveling. While other students have had opportunities to reconnect with their families and recharge during breaks, he has had to remain in Barbados, continuing to make sacrifices in order to stay focused on his education.

His greatest challenge now is finding the financial support necessary to continue and complete the journey he started.
