Dear Friends,
Remember our outdoor patio? This project aims to restore and expand the outdoor dining experience at Mozaik Restaurant in Sonoma. After years of struggle and adaptation, including temporary alfresco dining options during the pandemic, we are seeking approval from the Sonoma Planning Commission for a permanent outdoor patio. This space will not only enhance the ambiance of our restaurant but also improve our ability to serve guests, providing a beautiful and functional setting for al fresco dining in Sonoma for the whole community. With your support, we hope to create a welcoming space that both locals and visitors can enjoy year-round.
As we move forward with the project to build an outdoor patio for al fresco dining at Mozaik, I want to ensure that you are aware of some potential risks that could impact the budget, timeline, and permitting process.
Firstly, obtaining the necessary permits can sometimes take longer than anticipated. There are potential delays with local government approvals, and unforeseen issues with zoning or permit applications could cause setbacks. These delays can lead to additional costs, both in terms of time and legal fees, should we need to make adjustments or resubmit any paperwork.
Furthermore, while we’ve outlined a detailed budget, there are always risks of unexpected expenses. For example, price fluctuations in construction materials, or last-minute changes required to meet regulations, can increase costs and impact our timeline.
We are committed to managing these risks by planning carefully, building in contingency funds, and staying in close communication with the local authorities and contractors. However, it’s important to understand these factors as part of the overall planning process.
Your continued support is crucial, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated every step of the way.
Thank you for your trust and partnership in this venture.
