Hi. This is the last thing I wanted to do. Our lease is up at the end of September and they are increasing it $500 to "match the surrounding areas." The base increase is around $300 while utilities will no longer be a flat rate included in rent. We currently pay $1,035 but it would increase at renewal to about $1,500. They said water would be base $95 but could be more. No estimate on electric but we'd guess around $200. It's split throughout the building so we could essentially be paying for someone else's water/power since there's only one meter. We just cannot afford that big of a jump so we will be moving to my mom's in California. However we still have 2 months rent to pay + needing to save for gas for the move and a U-Haul. Any bit helps and we're very appreciative of it in a time where I know many people are facing the exact same problem.
Thank you
Laura, Dan, and Serena (and of course the kitties).
