Help moving partner from abusive home to stability

Hello,

My partner and I are making great efforts to escape an abusive situation and stay afloat after another. They are trapped in an abusive and entrapping household after becoming significantly more disabled for having caught covid in 2023 despite great precauation. They became unable to finish school or hold a job and were forced to move back in with unsupportive family in 2024. They have since sought medical care and their physical health has improved, but they have not been successful in reaching any meaningful diagnosis to manage ongoing chronic pain, brain fog, daily panic attacks, and autoimmune issues.

I, on the other hand, have fled multiple abusive situations during this period which has drained my finances. I have only recently managed to find some stability and with my current work I am able to afford the cost of living with my partner. Despite this, I am unable to cover the expenses of getting them here and to a new home due to my own disability and the ramifications of my previous situations.

We are asking for help to fund the cost of them moving from Minnesota to New York to live with me so we can move forward with our lives, safely and together; day by day their situation worsens and they are unable to get or hold a job with their current living conditions.

We are hoping to get them here in October so that we can look for a place together before my lease is up in December.

Your help will make sure that my partner is able to safely travel with adequate food, shelter, and transportation. Anything extra will help go toward any afterward moving costs, as there will be a lot necessary to accommodate the short time window available to get them out of their abusive situation and into a new longer term home with my lease soon to expire.

They have been a great help to a dear friend and I when we needed help getting out of our situation even amidst their own struggles and being able to return that kindness and space they offered would mean the world. Thank you for your time.
