Help Move Mondragón Books!

My friends Sarajane Snyder and Cathy Emery are moving our town's beloved used bookstore to a new location in downtown Lewisburg. This is an exciting time, however it comes with unexpected and substantial expenses. I'm hoping we can come together and help them raise the funds needed to set up the new home for Mondragón -- please contribute if you are able to.
Mondragón was founded in 2009 by Charles Sackrey + many friends as a place in downtown Lewisburg for radical thinkers and booklovers. Charles passed the bookstore on to the next generation when he sold the bookstore to Sarajane for $1 in 2017. Today, the store stands as a treasure house of used books, featuring books on nature connection, the home economy, the political economy, works of literary fiction & poetry, fine art, health & wellness, children’s books, and world history.
In 2020, during the pandemic shutdown they moved from the original location from 111 Market St to the current location at 430 Market. The move was great for the bookstore's visibility downtown and foot traffic and business increased substantially.
In 2022, they sold 7,000 books in the store while also adding about 7,000 new (used) books to the store!
The new space will be twice the size of the current space in an equally busy part of Market Street, and Mondragon hopes to expand the book collection, add a substantial record collection, and host more cultural events. Although the move was unplanned and unexpected, the new space promises to hold an even better Mondragon!
