Ive been operating this ear candling business for about 25 years, and am in serious need of support to saving this business. My situation is dire...
What happened, and what got us into this dire predicament. And the hardships that ensued. This started back in 2008. When I had received a cease and desist order from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
By April of 2017, I had moved into a smaller facility in Melbourne Florida. After our arrival and for the next 3 years, had caused delays due to the change in the environment, humidity and extreme heat, which caused us more difficulties in dealing with mosquitos, and other pests.
It wasn't long after the move that we were hit with hurricane Irma. Her destructive path had created several tornados which devastated our area.
September had came, I had just moved into a motel after sleeping in my truck and warehouse for several months. I had been bitten by a spider in the motelroom. I was hospitalized for almost a week. My leg had swollen to twice it's size! I was told not to work for another couple of weeks. It would be another month and half that would lapse.
I entered the warehouse to move some equipment, and had bumped my 70 gallon processing unit. The temperature was about 300 degrees. The processing unit had fallen on top of me spilling hot wax onto my legs and feet. My feet and toes were now cooked. Therefore, delaying production.
As, I struggled to accomodate my customers. A lot of our materials were now coming from China. At times the wax and materials didn't show up for nearly 2 months.
Covid19 pandemic had sealed our fate 2 years later... After relocating the business again, by this time my truck was in need of repairs, and we were met with heavy rains, which flooded the warehouse, creating more delays.
Another hardship would ensue...By January, I received notice to vacate the premises. After experiencing a series of break-ins and theft of my tools and equipment. By this time I was unable to find another facility. Therefore, I had to move my equipment into storage, where it remains today.
As for me. I could no longer afford the motel room and moved into a homeless shelter... It's been 2 years now. And, will be put on the street the day after Christmas. My rental unit is delinquent and is in auction status. If, I don't receive support now, all of my equipment and personal belongings will go to auction.
I desperately need your help to saving King Cone Int. If, not. I won't be able to produce anymore ear candles. And, all the equipment will go to scrap... And, these Ear Cones will no longer be made...
I'm fund raising for the total amount $25,000 Which will be used for relocating the business from Florida to Arizona, And, for the purchase of materials.
